The Boy With Big, Big Feelings

What a simple yet powerful story! This book is about a boy that has lots of feelings, as the title aptly states. He thinks he is different and tries to hide them. One day he meets a girl that has equally strong feelings and they become friends. And, after a while he finally starts to realize that emotions impact everyone.

This book is such a wonderful resource for social-emotional development. It has illustrations and words that are clear and simple making it easy for young children to understand. I especially love how it describes situations and feelings that come out of these situations that all children have, making it relatable. It is written in rhyming verse giving it an element of fun that is highly engaging. But, most importantly here is a book that lets us all know that everyone has big feelings and that is okay.

Add it to your bookshelf!
