This is the book I would recommend for a comprehensive guide to all things water for children. It is packed full of information you would typically find like the water cycle, precipitation, oceans, ice, but also highlights water activists, ideas for water conservation, climate justice, cultural stories about water, and more. The information is presented with colorful illustrations, flaps, diagrams, and pictures.
This book goes beyond what you would normally find in an encyclopedia-like book. What I love the most is the inclusion of cultural stories. They highlight stories about water from around the world and are retold by authors from that area. The idea to include them is brilliant. They turn an informational book into something that can be read and felt like a story book. Their inclusion shows us the interconnectedness of water and life and forces us to take notice how important it is to our existence
